When you're thinking him over, which of the two is more interesting for you? It'd be possible to work it either way, with the AI he's involved with canonically being a Jaeger-tech experiment trying to either bypass the compatibility issues currently faced in the Pons system, or creating artificial means of allowing single pilot Jaegers (but still finding that the AI couldn't stand in to make up for what a two-pilot brain bridgte could handle.)

If he comes in after the AI breakdown, then the system in place that does alter memories could be justified as being used or tripped to cause short term memory loss that's reinforced by some additional means (maybe via the chip left in him). If he came in before, he has most of that in the front of his mind, which would alter his behavior and expectations (or so I'd expect).

Which is more interesting for you to play around with ICly?
