Herc laughed under his breath. His name had gotten him some grief through school, but he'd gotten used to it in time. Now, jokes about it amused him as well as the person making the joke. But the laugh didn't last as he watched the kid - Stanley, he corrected himself - jump like it was nothing. "Don't let anybody tell you your job's not necessary, but I gotta ask."
